Reserve Training Room
07/24/08 - Pam changed abra train training to July 30 and ESS training to August 7th so training room can be secured.  Implementation schedule has been updated

07/24/08 - Email from Camie: I checked our Training Room availability - the 31st & 6th is not available. I can schedule August 7th for ESS & maybe July 30th for Training. Our Training Room seems to be a hot commodity lately...
Would those be okay? Let me know if there are other dates that would work better for you and Tony.
07/21/08  - Camie to reserve room for training on July 31st, August 6h and September 10th (see schedule)

The training for the scheduler (September 16th) will likely only require the training of one person and will be done remotely from our offices

Questions For Timberline
From: Rafael Suarez [mailto:rsuarez@whartonsmith.com]

Subject: Questions
Kurt,

Please get with me regarding the questions below:

1. In Timberline there is a "Last Check Date" field that I would like to come over into ABRA that I do not see as being a field that is coming into ABRA right now. Please let me know if we can import that field over into ABRA. - 12/1/08 waiting on syn report

2. Please let me know if the "Seniority Date" in ABRA is being populated by a date in Timberline. I would like to enter the "Adjusted hire date" that I have in the old HRIS into that field and I wanted to make sure it wouldn't get overwritten with the Imports. - 12/1/08  closed

3. I wanted to see if you had some time this afternoon to get with Shawn and I about the Basic Life tax deduction. - 12/1/08  closed

4. Also, I wanted to change all the job titles in our table to mixed case, instead of them being all caps. Let me know if this would affect anything, since I am not sure if this field is being forced to all caps when it goes to Timberline or being forced from all caps to mixed case when it goes into ABRA. - 12/1/08 closed

10/2/08 Making changes and then will test export again.

9/12/08 Continuing to work with Kurt.  Phone nbr and name issue is fixed.  PHONE AND NAME ISSUES RESOLVED

IN PROGRESS -
9/17/08 - Kurt will not bring a birthdate over to Abra if Timberline does not have one recorded.

date of birth is defaulting to 1/1/50 from Timberline to Abra (Do not always have DOB when generating a 'on the fly' check for a new hire.  Tony suggested entering basic details on new hire and exclude completing the demographic screen until all employee details have been rec'd.  Go back and complete the demographic, benefits etc screens once all details are rec'd)

IN PROGRESS
9/17/08 - Kurt to bring over the details from a custom field in timberline that indicates if a person is hourly or salary and populate Abra appropriately

 - all employees are coming over to abra from timberline as hourly (maybe can have a translation in the timberline interface that will allow abra to acknowledge employees as properly hourly or salary).  Impact is being seen in the ESS module where employees are seeing themselves as hourly when infact they are salary.

Applianz Server Due Diligence/Review
10/2/08 Rafeal will call Carlos to answer question about mapping crystal and to have application installed on Shawn's machine.

9/24/08 Need to install application on Shawn's machine.  Joe to call Carlos

9/17/08  This week Carlos to install the application client as - file server, client template and abra client on additional workstations.  Would IT want to arrange formalized training on this from Perryman?

9-12-08  Carlos engaged in the following activities this week:

1. added the port forwards for IIS.
2. Gave Camie access to the workstation template and file server, thus making it easier for BAS to assist with implementation.
3. Also changed the emails on Camie and someone else in their office to their own email addresses so they could get the new product keys and passwords.

9-4-08 Per conversation with Carlos, Carlos connected with Camie's machine this week and it all looks good. Camie said she hadn't had any problems since the last time they talked.
8-29-08 email out to camie from carlos - Camie, I would like to connect to your workstation sometime next week and review the install of all the components. What would be a good day and time to do this?
Thanks,
--Carlos
8-29-08 Carlos to arrange a time to do second review of applianz server to be CERTAIN that data will not be lost again.

Questions For Abra Consultants - Tony Trenga
11-14-08  Appointment has been set for Tony to call Rafael at 10am November 18th to go over open items on #1 (solution was working and then stopped),#2 and #5 (likely have to log a issue with Sage on this one)

From: Tony Trenga
Sent: Friday, November 07, 2008 3:11 PM
To: Rafael Suarez; Kurt Reardon

Rafael I have answered some of your questions below. However I will need to connect up with you to actual see what you are experiencing.  I will give you a call on Monday.

1. Is there a way to export a report (custom or created in a Query) into a selected drive. Right now it goes straight into the Workstation drive (Z drive for me). Other users that do not have access to the drive will not be able to retrieve their exported reports.

12/1/08 CLOSED
[Tony Trenga] There is an INI file named Abrawin.ini that can be used to set the export path.
 Abra Suite provides the Abra initialization (ABRAWIN.INI) file to customize the Abra environment. This feature provides additional capabilities for using Abra Suite on Local Area Networks (LANs).
After installing Abra Suite, use the ABRAWIN.INI file to specify any directory for the following items: live data, sample data, registration file, temp file directory and export directory.
If using a LAN, it is possible to keep the Abra program (executable files) on a local PC for fast access and then obtain information from a common server. Populating the ABRAWIN.INI file, assigns the required paths to locate the information. If no additions exist, the system installation defaults apply.
The ABRAWIN.INI file must be located in the same directory as the ABRA32.EXE file. When Abra Suite is started, the system checks to see if the ABRAWIN.INI file is populated and attempts to verify and locate the specified directories.
The following lines in an ABRAWIN.INI file direct the system to run Abra Suite with the export and temp directory on the C drive and the data and sample data on the network drive, J:
data = j:\databases\abra\data\
sample = j:\databases\abra\sample\
export = c:\abrawin\export\
temp = c:\temp\
The ABRAWIN.INI file is not case sensitive and the order of the settings does not matter. All blanks are ignored and the backslash (\) at the end of each path name is optional. Enter any number of statements as required. If any additional information is entered that the system does not recognize, it is ignored by the system.
The following is a partial list of settings that can be defined within the ABRAWIN.INI file. (Most folders can be named)
Setting Description
data = Defines the path for live data.
sample = Defines the path for sample data.
export = Defines the path for any exported files.
temp = Defines the path for any temporary files created by the system.
Note:When using the ABRAWIN.INI file, back up the file before making changes.

2. The optional life for a spouse is not calculating on the benefits plan. I wanted to see if you could look into this or get with me on that to figure out why its not calculating like all the other optional life plans.

12/1/08 CLOSED
[Tony Trenga] I will most likely need to see the plan for this .  However a  couple of things that you can look at.  Make sure that the rate table is correct in the order of age.   I am assuming that since this is a life policy that it is based off of the spouses age.  If this is true then you need to use AGESPOUSE() not  AGE() to do the calculations.  The spouse needs to be assigned to the employee  as a dependent with spouse as the dependent type and the birth date field entered.  This is not a required field in Abra but is needed for the benefit calculation.  you also need to have the dependent assigned to the plan.

3. Is there a way to include the custom detail fields into a report? Please let me know how, since I do not see these fields as selectable when creating a Query.
CLOSED

12/1/08 Rafael getting some crystal rpt errors, will call Tony for assistance.
[Tony Trenga] The Custom fields are not available in the Query they are however available in Crystal reports.  I have attached the toolkit manual it has information about creating reports from custom fields.

4. Is there a way to create security on some attachments. We would like to attach some documents that should only be viewed by a couple of users, but would like other users to be able to view other certain attachments. If not, any suggestions would be appreciated.

12/1/08 CLOSED
[Tony Trenga]No. Abra lets you can create security groups that will hide the attachments detail screen but not filter which attachments can be seen.

5. When "Optimizing the Database" and "Reformatting the Index" my custom detail fields disappear from the customizing menus....which makes me nervous. Please let me know the reason for this, if it is normal or get with me and I can show you what it's doing.

12/1/08 WAITING ON TONY
[Tony Trenga] This I will have to look at.
12/12/08 Tony will email SAGE ticket number to Rafael so he can connect with SAGE (they have requested to look at client system)
